Summer Camp 2026 is just around the corner, and we are excited to share with you an opportunity with our camping program. The NOMO Next Gen Department - led by Pastor Ryan Christopher has developed a home missions experience for you to invest part of your summer at Lake Maurer to help with our district camping season. Limited to young adults ages 18-22, the Lake Maurer Summer Student Missionaries program will be split into 2 separate opportunities. The first opportunity will begin Monday, June 1st, and will conclude Saturday, June 27th. The second opportunity will begin Friday June 26th, and will conclude on Thursday July 16th. If applicants want to serve the entire seven weeks, we will set up a time to discuss what that would look like. Below are some important details:
•••Housing and meals will be provided by Lake Maurer Retreat Center.
Attendees will stay in camp housing on the grounds. Either Pastor Ryan or Pastor Dustin Davidson will be at the campground for the duration of the program and stay on the grounds with the attendees. Monday-Friday meals will be provided (breakfast, lunch, dinner.)
••• Attendess will help prepare the campground for the district camping season.
This includes (but not limited to): basic cleaning, lawn maintenance, painting, moving equipment, and organizing supplies. As well as serving as camp staff during camp.
•••The attendees will attend morning devos and chapel on Sundays
The Chapel services will be led by Pastor Ryan.
•••The attendees will engage as a servant team during Girl's Ministries, Youth and Kids Camp weeks.
They will help with team leadership for games, help with game prep, and have duties during free time. They will also help with evening services, and help with the snack shack.
•••There is a minimal cost of $150.00 for the SSM program.
Anyone who participates in this program does not pay to participate in any 2026 NOMO Next Gen summer camps!
•••SSM is limited to 20 individuals no more than 10 attendees per 3 weeks.
SSM is based on an application process (with approval of your pastor.) The application process will include reference checks, a background check, and a zoom interview with the program staff. You will know if you are accepted into the program by April 15th, 2026.
